Title of Report:                        Annual report of the East Sussex Foster Care Association (ESFCA) 2020-21

Purpose of Report:                 To update the Panel on the activity and achievements of ESFCA during 2020-21

Recommendations:              The Corporate Parenting Panel is recommended to comment on and note the annual report.

1.         Background and supporting information

1.1       East Sussex Foster Care Association (ESFCA) is a registered charity and much of their activity is funded by grants or by fundraising activity. East Sussex County Council (ESCC) provides an annual grant of £20k plus office space for the association in St Mark’s House in Eastbourne.

1.2       The Annual Report for 2020-21 is attached as Appendix 1.

2.         Conclusion

2.1       Despite the pressure of the Covid pandemic, the activity, and achievements of ESFCA have been maintained. The association contributes significantly to the welfare of the children in the care of ESCC and the partnership between ESFCA and ESCC remains strong. 

3.         Recommendations

3.1       The Corporate Parenting Panel is recommended to comment on and note the annual report.
